Agroprodmash’2010: Lots to Display, Lots to Wonder
On October 11 Expocentre Fairgrounds hosted the opening of the 15th International Exhibition for Machinery, Equipment, and Ingredients for the Food Processing Industry – Agroprodmash'2010.
At the Expocentre Congress Center there was held a press-conference devoted to the anniversary edition opening. At the press-conference Russian and foreign experts discussed various issues and development prospects of the domestic agriculture industry, its integration into the international agriculture market, and Agroprodmash influencing the above processes as the main Russian industry show.
Summing up the results of the 15-year history of Agroprodmash, Expocentre Deputy Director General Mr. Mikhail P. Tolkachev said that within one and a half decades the exhibition area and the number of participants have grown thrice, and this year among Agroprodmash’2010 exhibitors there are around 700 enterprises, companies and organizations from 35 countries. For the first time the leading Russian agro-industrial exhibition geographic reach is as wide.
The Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture representative said that at present time Russian food processing industry is successfully developing and its share in the industrial production has reached 13–14 %. These results are mostly attributable to the Agroprodmash exhibition impact.
This year there is essential expansion of the Poultry breeding and processing section. Packing equipment and materials salon is a fast growing section of the Agroprodmash exhibition as well. The salon provides full information on the situation in the Russian packing industry, new materials, means and equipment for packing production.
According to experts of the industry community, the anniversary edition is quite impressive, qualitative contents of Agroprodmash’2010 confirm its status as No.1 exhibition in Russia. The exhibition has becoming more powerful and interesting. Lots of large companies are increasing their areas of participation, there are new exhibitors coming, the companies which for some reasons have suspended the exhibition activity are coming back again.
The international component of the exhibition is traditionally strong. Germany and France are presented at the exhibition at the state level. Germany presents its national display at Agroprodmash for the third time, increasing its participants number thrice, as it was mentioned by President of the Federal Meat and Cattle Breeding Union of Germany BVVF, Vice-President of the European Livestock And Meat Trading Union UECBV Mr. Heinz Osterloh. Mr. Osterloh noted that the International Congress for Meat Producers, Meat Dealers and Meat Processors– MEAT MEETING ' 2010- is a perspective event within the exhibition program.
Speaking about the event significance, Belgian Meat Office General Director Ren Mayar highlighted the Congress importance for the Russian and European manufacturers' dialogue.
The business-related program of Agroprodmash'2010 comprises events devoted to various directions of development of the agriculture industry.
