Ways of development of confectionery market

The Conference on Raw Materials for Confectionery Production Under Conditions of Import Substitution. Problems and Solutions took place within the conference programme of Agroprodmash 2024. It was organised by Gorbatov Federal Research Center for Food Systems of the Russian Academy of Sciences and EXPOCENTRE AO. The event's scientific partner was Russian Research Institute of the Confectionery Industry.

The conference was moderated by Sergey Beletsky, Director at Russian Research Institute of the Confectionery Industry. He noted the relevance of the topic for the confectionery industry due to the import substitution policy and changing supply logistics.

Vyacheslav Lashmankin, Executive Director at the Ascond Association, spoke about the current situation on the confectionery market. He noted that according to last year's results, Russia is among the top five largest confectionery producers in the world. 

There were also reports on such relevant issues of the industry as innovations in the confectionery industry, alternatives to imported ingredients for the production of chocolate products, organisation of long-term storage of raw materials, and others.
